AN EXCEPTIONAL YEAR!
The Québec City in Pink 2019 movement came to a successful conclusion on October 30, when the exceptional sum of $250,000 was unveiled at the cocktail party that closed the event.
Throughout the month of October, this event shone the spotlight with the pink illumination of 90 buildings and monuments in the Quebec City area, with the original initiatives of individuals and companies, called the light carriers, who made great efforts to raise donations, and with a cocktail reception that brought together nearly 350 people.
OCTOBER OF EACH YEAR
Support clinical research in hematology and oncology
The research team and the Foundation proudly announced a result of $67,500 at the cocktail party held on November 27, 2019.
The Hemato-onco Rando is an invaluable financial aid. The funds raised enable a team of 12 physician-researchers, 6 research nurses, 3 administrative assistants and a director to expand the studies in which they can participate, but also to develop and implement the necessary resources to increase, in the medium term, the conduct of early phase studies, in addition to allowing researchers to develop clinical research projects themselves.
A RECORD amount of $300,000 for the advancement of surgical care
On Saturday, September 14, more than 200 enthusiasts and owners of exceptional cars had the pleasure of riding together and making special visits to the Quebec City area during the Quebec City UHC Foundation’s Dream Car Tour, an exclusive day presented by Opéra MD, Quebec City’s private operating room. The funds raised will help finance major projects aimed at advancing surgical care at Hôpital Saint-François d’Assise, as well as the New Hospital Complex at the CHU de Québec-Université Laval.
